Online Perioperative degree – takes off!

24, September,2007

A great start to the new degree with 35 people choosing several modules from the new degree programme. The students have opted for two main routes in our ‘mode neutral’ (Smith 2006) approach to meeting the needs of our sophisticated learners. Those two routes are online and blended learning. We wish our students well and hope they enjoy the programme.

AfPP National Study Day-12th July Manchester

14, July,2007

Edge Hill University talk at the above national study.

The session on courses, modules and pathways gave an inspiring insight into the changes that are taking place with Higher Education Institutions. Those changes are driven by the desire to meet the CPD needs of perioperative staff across the whole world.

Anaesthetic, Scrub, Recovery online modules were discussed in great detail demonstrating that a practitioner does not neccessarily have to attend a classroom and can feasible undertake their studies at a distance supported by a personal tutor.

For more details read ‘MY CPD’.

You are very welcome to also contact Brian or Gareth at Edge Hill . 0151 529 3116 smithb@edgehill.ac.uk or morang@edgehill.ac.uk
